In these trying times, our nation finds itself facing a formidable challenge, one that has already cost the lives of over 1300 people, seen the captivity of hundreds of innocents and is not only taking a toll on our collective spirit but also on our economy. This war has inflicted an estimated cost of 4 billion shekels each week, and the Bank of Israel estimates (as of November 27) that it will cost 53 billion dollars.  While we are resilient, we must acknowledge the ripple effect this has on our beloved Israel. Ultimately, the weight of this war’s financial burden will fall heavily upon the shoulders of our small and medium-sized businesses, which have already been hit hard by the ongoing conflict.

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) form the backbone of our economy, providing jobs, driving innovation, and contributing significantly to our nation’s prosperity. Sadly, these businesses have faced immense challenges during this period of uncertainty, ranging from the call-up of hundreds of thousands of our citizen soldiers to a dramatic drop in consumption.
